Benjamin Mowll ROI, PPRSMA
Ben is an elected Full Member of both the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) and a Past President of The Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA).
Light, atmosphere and the presence of water are notable features of his work. It is the observation and celebration of these elements that make his work distinctive and desirable.
He was elected as President of the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) commencing 2018. Prior to that, he had served as Vice-President of the RSMA and also as a Council Member since 2011.
He was elected a Full Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) in 2022 and has served on the Selection panel for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) Annual Exhibition for the past 3 years.
He has exhibited annually at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, SW1, London since 2004.
To date he has had 24 solo shows in the UK and exhibits regularly in various commercial galleries and is excited to be represented by Barlow Fine Art in Norfolk, as from 2026.
His work is held in corporate and private collections in the UK, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
He has demonstrated and given talks on painting and written for the Artist Magazine.
